Economic council

The Economic Council of the Municipality of Modrica is an advisory body that provides opinions, recommendations and launches initiatives on issues related to the state and development of the economy and proposes measures to improve the local business environment. The main task of the Economic Council is to provide and promote public-private dialogue through direct cooperation between municipal bodies, the Mayor and business entities.

• Connecting and coordinating between economic entities and local self-government;
• Adoption of conclusions, recommendations and opinions of importance for the improvement of the business climate in the local community, with a proposal of appropriate measures;
• Participation in the development of strategies and other acts that define the goals and measures to improve local economic development;
• Launching initiatives to improve the business environment and remove administrative barriers;
• Monitoring and participating in activities supposed to promote the economic potential of the municipality;
• Giving proposals for improving the work of the municipal administration, public companies, institutions, organizations and services founded by the Municipality of Modrica, in order to improve the conditions for doing business in the municipality;
• Consideration of other issues that include measures and activities to create better business conditions.

Representatives of economic entities registered in the municipality of Modrica, which are engaged in certain economic activities (production, craft-entrepreneurial, agricultural, financial, service, etc.) and representatives of the Administration of the Municipality of Modrica are appointed as members of the Economic Council.

Representatives of other bodies, organizations, institutions and economic entities (educational, health and social institutions, inspection bodies, associations, etc.) may also participate in the work of the Economic Council when issues within their competence or scope of work are considered.
